One thing I really love is a good aquarium. So I proactively found L'Aquarium de Paris (5 Avenue Albert de Mun) and planned my trip.

It wasn't the easiest place to find, I admit. But in my defense, the aquarium was underground. It's a small entrance that honestly looks like a train station, was in front of the magnificent Tour Eiffel and I was not at all confident I had found the right place. It was a little sketchy and I thought maybe it had closed down and moved. But I persevered and found my way.

After getting through the ticket-b
uying process, I started my journey. I was underwhelmed in the start, but I was used to the Baltimore aquarium (which, admittedly, set my standards very high. They had a lot of cool fish, nothing too big but enjoyable. There was a "touch tank" where there were rays and starfish which I didn't actually do. There were mothers and kids around and I though that would be too juvenile.
There was also the jellyfish room. No aquarium is complete without one. There's something elegant and satisfying about jellyfish that I enjoy.

My favorite part of the aquarium was by far the shark tank.
There were benches in front of a huge tank containing many kinds of sharks. I could have sat there all day watching the beautiful creatures circle. There was an ominous soundtrack playing that made every move the sharks made more sinister and intriguing. A very thought provoking area!
All in all, I wouldn't pay to go here again. If I could get in for free I'd be using this area as my reading area of choice.
