What's Better than a Bachelorette Party in Paris?

The answer is nothing! Well, in my humbly biased opinion. This our good friend Susan's last day in Paris. She was here for an internship in the Embassy through an exchange program. Super cool, I know! Well she's also engaged with an upcoming marriage! We decided to give her a bachelorette party abroad, which we also sort of used as her farewell sendoff.
We started with a trip to Fontainebleau. This is about an hour south of Paris from Gare de Lyon. First of all, the cutest dog ever (and an equally adorable man) sat next to us on the train which was a real treat for all. When we got to Fontainebleau, we headed to the castle. On the way, we passed an adorable carousel and felt impelled to ride. After living out every childhood memory, we finally made our way to the Chateau de Fontainebleau. Since we came during early March, the courtyard was nearly empty and gave us a great opportunity to take beautiful and some not so beautiful photos.

After a tour of the estate, we headed back into Paris where we had a few things to take care of. For lunch, we had crepes at their favorite crepe place. You can get a sweet and a savory crepe plus a drink for four euros. So we of course went there! After lunch we had another photo shoot in front of Notre Dame.

For dessert, we had pastries. But not just any pastries. We went to Legay Choc for specialty desserts where they shape their pastries like penises. What a perfect Bachelorette addition! They were seriously ridiculous but delicious! We also headed to an expensive chocolatier that Susan wanted to buy from before leaving.
Lastly went shopping. Okay so we went shopping as a large group for some lingerie. The women at the Parisian shops were really shocked that we were all shopping together and I'm pretty sure they have a pretty bizarre view of Americans now. But they were really nice and gave us a good price. Basically, we just had a really amazing day with Susan before she left and I hope she had an amazing bachelorette party.
